MEET THE DESIGNER

Introducing Amanda Zaborski – studio, shop owner and freelance designer. With over 25 years of industry experience, she specializes in visual branding and the development of marketing materials for small to mid-sized businesses.

After graduating with honours from the George Brown College graphic design program, Amanda embarked on her freelance career. Throughout her journey, she has worked for esteemed companies such as Blackberry, Club Monaco and Central Station, while cultivating strong relationships in her own community as a freelance graphic designer.

During her time as a corporate designer, Amanda has had the honour of working with award winning teams on global products such as the iconic BlackBerry smartphone portfolio. As Team Lead of the graphic design team at BlackBerry, Amanda was not only responsible for overseeing the development and creation of all BlackBerry device, accessory and packaging graphics—but also responsible for helping to mentor and manage a team of graphic designers.

In 2015, she returned to her freelance roots and established Calling Crow Communications. In 2019, she launched Calling Crow, a boutique design studio and retail stationery shop located in St. Jacobs, Ontario. Here Amanda is dedicated to enhancing the visibility and appeal of local businesses with thoughtful graphic and marketing design services.

Most recently Amanda has embarked on a part-time teaching position for the Advertising and Marketing Communications department at Conestoga College in Kitchener-Waterloo.
